Frequently asked questions

Straight answers to what people usually ask before reaching out. If yours isn't here, ask us directly.

How is Cronic Dev different from a typical agency?

No hand-off chain. You work directly with whoever's advising and building on your engagement, never relayed through account management to a delivery team you haven't talked to.

I don't have a plan yet. Can you still help?

Yes. Start with a fixed-fee recommendation: an outside read on the decision, not a sales pitch. It points wherever the problem actually gets solved, whether that's us building it or not.

How do we know the recommendation isn't just steering us toward more billable work?

The recommendation is a separate, fixed fee from any build work, not a gate you have to pass through to hire us. If something in your plan doesn't add up, we'll say so, even if it costs us the build.

What if Cronic Dev becomes unavailable mid-project?

Every engagement runs on a fixed scope and timeline agreed upfront, so you always know what's owed and when. If anything affects that timeline, you hear about it directly, not through an account manager relaying the news.

Can one team really cover what we need?

That's exactly what the fit check is for. If something's outside what we can execute well, you'll hear that upfront, before any commitment, not partway through the build.

How much does this cost?

Every engagement is fixed-fee and scoped before work starts. No hourly billing, no open-ended retainer. The budget ranges on the contact form are a starting point for the conversation, not a quote.

How long does an engagement take?

It depends on scope, which is exactly what the recommendation phase or a scoping conversation nails down before anything starts. You'll know the timeline before you commit budget.

Do we need an in-house technical team to work with you?

No. That's part of the point. If you had the in-house judgment to evaluate this confidently, you likely wouldn't need us.

What happens after I reach out?

We typically respond within one business day. From there, it's a short call, no pitch, no pressure, to confirm it's a fit before anything's scoped.
